As mentioned in my last update, the plants are getting a little crowded on the single tower as I did not plan it out very well. Next grow I will make sure to plan out plants better to make sure they don't get too crowded and can stay happy!

Plant roots (in this case it was the cucumber) are looking really healthy!
To prevent the roots from touching the nutrient water in the bucket I'm going to be trimming them back to roughly 2" below the net cup.

Same thing with the zucchini!

All plants going to the new tower got a root cut.
When doing this it's important to use sharp and clean tools.

The new tower is now in action with the following plants from top to bottom:
  • Tomato (2)
  • Cucumber (2)
  • Zucchini (1)
I also made the trellis out of 1/2" PCV, 90 degree elbows, and a 4 way connection piece. Then drilled holes and strung it with some thick string I had laying around to support the plants.
I also 3D printed the black adapters and used more 1/2" PVC to firm up the trellis as 1/2" PCV is pretty flimsy.

I reorganized the plants in the original tower so they should have much more room to grow now!
