Tower garden newbie here too 🙋‍♂️ — I had a similar issue with arugula early on. A few things that might help:
  • Check your nutrient levels and pH – Arugula likes slightly acidic water (around 6.0–6.5), and if nutrients are too low, it can stunt growth.
  • Lights – Make sure it’s getting enough hours of strong light. If indoors, aim for at least 12–14 hrs daily.
  • Water temp & airflow – Warm water or poor airflow can stress baby greens and make them bitter.
  • Curling leaves sometimes mean too much light or nutrient imbalance.
Since you’re growing them as baby greens, they should grow quickly — slow progress and bitterness could mean stress.
I recently write about hydroponic arugula experience from a blog and what worked for me (just sharing what I learned, not selling anything) — feel free to DM if you want the blog link or have questions! Happy growing 🌱

It's right?
